Incoming students

You must submit your Certificate of Arrival:
• send it by e-mail to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it
or
• deliver it in person to the International Relations Office of the Department of Law.

The certificate is provided by your home university and must not be filled in by you.
The Erasmus Coordinator will fill in the data, the arrival date, and sign it.
The completed certificate will then be sent by e-mail to you and to your home university.
The date indicated will be the day our office receives the document (either in person or by e-mail).

You will receive an e-mail at the address you used on ALICE at the time of registration.
The communication will include:
• your new UNIPI e-mail address (@studenti.unipi.it), which you will use to contact professors and offices;
• your student ID number (matricola), necessary for registering for exams.

After enrollment you will be able to access the student portals:

• Course Catalogue
• Valutami

No. Our courses are open access: you can prepare your study plan and attend lectures without registering.

You must access the web page of the University Language Centre (CLI) → Erasmus – Italian course for foreigners (Erasmus Incoming) and follow the instructions to take the placement test.

After completing the test, you will be assigned to a language course according to your competence level (from A1 to B2).
If you also take the final exam, you can obtain a certificate (4 ECTS credits) and a grade.

The course is not compulsory and is completely free. Since all our exams are oral and in Italian, attendance is strongly recommended.

6 CFU = 48 hours (One-semester course)

If a subject you included in your Learning Agreement does not appear, it means it will be offered in the following semester.

Student Portals:

AGENDA DIDATTICA for:
• selecting the courses you want to attend, so you can be added to the TEAMS of the course (group of students attending the same course);
• accessing your electronic transcript;
• viewing a calendar of the chosen courses;
• accessing your ID to view the QR Code, necessary for activating your student card;
• receiving information about health assistance;
• accessing teaching evaluation questionnaires;
• receiving news from the University of Pisa community.

COURSE CATALOGUE: to search for subjects, professors, and syllabi.

VALUTAMI: to register for exams.

REMEMBER: you do not need to register for courses, only for the exams you want to take. To register for exams you will need your student ID number.

If the subject is divided into groups (A-B or A-B-C): you can request a group change by filling in the FORM, sending it to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it, and waiting for the Erasmus Coordinator’s approval. With the signed form you will be authorized to take the exam with the new professor.

If the subject is not divided into groups: you can still attend by skipping some lessons and informing the professor. Alternatively, you can remove the subject from your Learning Agreement by submitting a modification (During the Mobility or via OLA/EWP).

You can modify it until 15 November (once per semester).
We recommend waiting before making changes, so you have time to better evaluate the courses.

You have 5 exam sessions available during your Erasmus mobility:
• 1 session in December
• 2 sessions in January/February
• 1 session in April
• 1 session in May
• 3 sessions in June/July

You are not required to take the exam immediately after the course: you may take it in later sessions.

Erasmus students cannot take exams in the September and November sessions.

The UNIPI Student Card (or “Tuscany Regional Student Card”) is used to access services and obtain benefits throughout the region, such as use of university canteens and libraries, payment for meals, cultural discounts, and student identification.

Starting from the academic year 2025/26, the Student Card will no longer be issued.
Instead, you will find your virtual badge on the Agenda Didattica portal, with your photo and a QR Code, which will identify you as a student of the University of Pisa.

The home University has to send an email to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it with the following student’s information:

After receiving the nomination email with the students’ information, they will receive a communication from us to:

1. register on the University of Pisa’s ALICE portal;
2. sign up on the Erasmus Mobility portal and upload their Learning Agreement in PDF* (or submit it via OLA).

Detailed instructions for registration and access to the Erasmus portal will be sent only by email directly to the students.

*The Learning Agreement must be signed by the student and the coordinator of the home university. The Italian courses must include the code and credits.

The deadlines are not mandatory, but it is recommended to meet them because we need to approve the Learning Agreements before the summer

As soon as the student has finished his/her exams, he/she has to download the ECTS Transcript from the ALICE Portal and send it, along with the Certificate of Attendance, to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it to have them signed by our Erasmus Coordinator.

Then they can come to the International Office at the department to pick up the signed copies of their ECTS Transcript and Certificate of Attendance.

A PDF copy will also be emailed to their home university.
