You must submit your Certificate of Arrival

The document must be submitted in person at the International Relations Office of the Department of Law during public opening hours.

The certificate is provided by your home university and must not be filled in by you.
The Erasmus Coordinator will fill in the data, the arrival date, and sign it.
The completed certificate will then be sent by e-mail to you and to your home university.
The date indicated on the certificate will be the day you appear at the International Relations Office of the Department of Law.

You will receive an e-mail at the address you used on ALICE at the time of registration.
The communication will include:

• your new UNIPI e-mail address (@studenti.unipi.it), which you will use to contact professors and offices;
• your student ID number (matricola), necessary for registering for exams.

In any case, you will find your University email on ALICE in the window “personal details”, at the bottom.

No. Our courses are open access: you can prepare your study plan and attend lectures without registering.

You must access the web page of the University Language Centre (CLI) → Erasmus – Italian course for foreigners (Erasmus Incoming) and follow the instructions to take the placement test.

After completing the test, you will be assigned to a language course according to your competence level (from A1 to B2).
If you also take the final exam, you can obtain a certificate (4 ECTS credits) and a grade.

The course is not compulsory and is completely free. Since all our exams are oral and in Italian, attendance is strongly recommended.

1 CFU = 1 ECTS

6 CFU = 48 hours (One-semester course)

9 CFU = 72 hours (One-semester course)

12 CFU = 96 hours (Annual course)*

15 CFU = 120 hours (Annual course)**

If a subject you included in your Learning Agreement does not appear, it means it will be offered in the following semester.

Student Portals

AGENDA DIDATTICA for:

• selecting the courses you want to attend, so you can be added to the TEAMS of the course (group of students attending the same course);
• accessing your electronic transcript;
• viewing a calendar of the chosen courses;
• accessing your ID to view the QR Code, necessary for activating your student card;
• receiving information about health assistance;
• accessing teaching evaluation questionnaires;
• receiving news from the University of Pisa community.

COURSE CATALOGUE: to search for subjects, professors, and syllabi.

VALUTAMI: to register for exams.

REMEMBER: you do not need to register for courses, only for the exams you want to take. To register for exams you will need your student ID number.

If the subject is divided into groups (A-B or A-B-C): you can request a group change by filling in the FORM, sending it to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it, and waiting for the Erasmus Coordinator’s approval. With the signed form you will be authorized to take the exam with the new professor.

If the subject is not divided into groups: you can still attend by skipping some lessons and informing the professor. Alternatively, you can remove the subject from your Learning Agreement by submitting a modification (During the Mobility or via OLA/EWP).

Requests for course changes may be submitted until October 31. Requests submitted after this date will not be accepted.

You can modify it until 15 November (once per semester).

We recommend waiting before making changes, so you have time to better evaluate the courses.

You have 5 exam sessions available during your Erasmus mobility:

• 1 session in December
• 2 sessions in January/February
• 1 session in April
• 1 session in May
• 3 sessions in June/July

You are not required to take the exam immediately after the course: you may take it in later sessions.

Erasmus students cannot take exams in the September and November sessions.

From the academic year 2025/2026, a Virtual badge will be introduced for all UNIPI students (enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, Postgraduate, PhD, and Specialisation courses, as well as for incoming mobility students).

All UNIPI students (not only newly enrolled students, but all those who are currently registered) will find their personal Virtual Badge in the “Agenda Didattica”, displaying their photo and a QR code identifying them as students of the UniversitY of Pisa.

The transition from the physical “Student Card” to the digital badge is supported by the DSU Toscana (Azienda Regionale Toscana per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario), which will introduce an app for accessing dining services starting from the academic year 2025/2026, replacing the physical card.

From the day after enrolment, students will be able to access DSU Toscana canteens simply by showing an identity document and providing their student ID number at the checkout.

The new MyDSU App will soon be available, allowing access through QR code  scanning. Students will receive a notification from DSU Toscana once the app is active.

After we receive your nomination from your university, we will send an email with the students’ information. You will then receive a communication from us:

1. register on the University of Pisa’s ALICE portal;
2. sign up on the Erasmus Mobility portal and upload their Learning Agreement in PDF* (or submit it via OLA).

Detailed instructions for registration and access to the Erasmus portal will be sent only by email directly to the students.

*The Learning Agreement must be signed by the student and the coordinator of the home university. The Italian courses must include the code and credits.

The deadlines are not mandatory, but it is recommended to meet them because we need to approve the Learning Agreements before the summer.

Once you have completed your exams, send an email to rapp.int@jus.unipi.it indicating your mobility end date and attaching the Certificate of Attendance, which you must request from your home university.
After the Erasmus Coordinator signs your documents, the International Relations Office will email the signed copies both to you and to your home university’s international office.

The original documents are not required, but if your university asks for them, you may pick up the signed hard copies of your ECTS Transcript and Certificate of Attendance at the department’s International Office.

Students with disabilities and Support Services

At the University of Pisa, the USID – Services Office for the Integration of Students with Disabilitiesand the Dyslexia and Learning Difficulties Support Unit offer a variety of services and assistance for students with specific needs.

Counseling Services: is aimed at students who are struggling to deal with any problems linked to their university experience, for instance issues relating to:

• Adapting to university study and life;
• Time management and organisation of study methods;
• Relationships with colleagues and professors;
• Concentration, anxiety, feelings of worthlessness and lack of motivation.

Canteens

The University of Pisa offers its students a catering service at discounted rates, managed by the Tuscany Region Company for the Right to University Education (DSU Toscana).

In Pisa there are five canteens, which can be accessed by all enrolled students:

Starting the day after enrollment at the University of Pisa,
students can access the DSU Toscana canteens halls simply by showing an ID and providing their student number at the checkout.

For a maximum price of 8.50 euros, you would enjoy a complete meal and unlimited drinks!

University Sports Center

CUS Pisa, the University Sports Center, offers numerous opportunities for practicing sports, organizing courses, tournaments and events every year aimed mainly at students but also usable by citizens; a heritage for the city of Pisa.

CUS PISA offers sports that are classified into different categories:

• Individual Sports (e.g. Fit Boxing, Taekwondo, Judo, Karate, Running, etc.)
• Team Sports (e.g. Beach Volleyball, Volleyball, Basketball, Frisbee, Rugby)
• Tennis (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Library and Study Halls

The University of Pisa provides students with numerous spaces to study, including study rooms and outdoor spaces.

These study rooms are as follow:

• Palazzo della Sapienza: A study room with 160 seats (open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 20.00)
• Polo Piagge: A study room with 52 seats (open from Monday to Sunday, from 8.30 to 24.00)
• Pacinotti: 94 seats divided into three rooms and 140 outdoor seats (open from Monday to Sunday, from 8.30 to 24.00)
• Ingegneria Polo B: 40 places are available (open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 7.00pm)
• Polo Porta Nuova: study rooms for 40 seats are available (open from Monday to Sunday, 8.30 – 24.00)
• Polo Etruria: 15 seats available (open from Monday to Friday, 8.30a – 7.00pm)
• Polo Fibonacci: 38 seats in the study room (open from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 19.00)

Students can go directly to the study room of their interest. The classrooms are equipped with toilets and various food and beverage dispensers.
